What is a Homeowners Association (HOA)?

Every homeowner in your neighbourhood is a member of a Homeowners Association. The purpose of the association is to assure that the neighbourhood is maintained attractively and safely.

The HOA is usually responsible for maintaining entry signs and landscaping as well as any community parks or amenities and may be responsible for maintaining drainage ponds or other facilities.

An independent management company manages most Homeowners Association. You may be responsible for paying dues to the association, which are used to pay for the management and operation of the association and maintenance.

Please consult your Area Manager for more information on Homeowner Association Fees specific to your community.
