What is a "Built Green" home?

Built Green® is a third-party certification program encouraging the construction of energy-efficient and environmentally responsible homes. With almost 6,000 Built Green® homes, Excel Homes is proudly the second largest registrant in Canada.

Every home we build is Built Green® certified enabling our homeowners to enjoy healthier, more durable homes as well as a reduction in monthly operating costs, rebate eligibility and improved resale value. Our homes reduce their environmental impact, both during the build and in the day-to-day operation of running the home.

Having a Built Green® home is more than just material upgrades. It is an entire system of components working together to provide safety, security, and longevity for our homeowners.
