Can I Apply for a Tax (GST) Rebate for my Home?

The Purchaser declares that he/she fully understands that the GST rebate applied above will only be credited to the Total Price if the price of the Land and Home are less than $450,000.00 inclusive AND the Purchaser or a member of his/her immediate family resides in the Home as his/her principal residence. In such case, the Purchaser irrevocably assigns the available GST rebate to the Builder.

To claim a member of his/her immediate family will reside in the Home, the related individual must be related to all Purchasers and mortgage co-signors either through family or marriage. The Builder is permitted in any case to make its own application for any applicable rebates to the appropriate taxing authority, as applicable and necessary, and the Builder reserves the right to adjust the Total Price in the event that a lesser or no GST rebate is available.
