There are certain seasonal items that may not be installed when you move into your home during a winter possession.
Concrete is always the first item on the agenda when it comes to exterior seasonal work.
In order for the concrete driveway, parking pad and/or walkway to be poured, we have to allow all of the frost to come out of the ground. This usually starts in May, and the rain that we receive in June helps to move the process along.
Once the frost is out and our concrete company has provided the green light, we can get started.
Our concrete trade partners will use signs to notify whole communities and then individually they will provide you with a door-knocker to let you know ahead of when they will be prepping and pouring your driveway, weather permitting.
Please keep in mind that prepping and pouring of the concrete flatwork is not determined by when your possession has taken place. They create a schedule based on the most fluid way in which they can move through the community causing the least amount of impact on the residents.
Important! Concrete takes approximately 30 days to cure, so you should not be parking on or driving on the new driveway during this time.
