# When Does My Excel Home Start Getting Built?

Your new Excel home will start it's building process when we receive the full building permit back from the [municipality](https://info.excelhomes.ca/knowledge/glossary-of-terms?hsLang=en#municipality) and then we can get a "Release To Field" queue. This [milestone](https://info.excelhomes.ca/knowledge/my-home-milestones?hsLang=en) typically occurs two months\* from the purchase date.
